A group of young people in Tokyo begin to experience strange phenomena involving missing co-workers and friends, technological breakdown, and a mysterious website which asks the compelling question, "Do you want to meet a ghost?" After the unexpected suicides of several friends, three strangers set out to explore a city which is growing more empty by the day, and to solve the mystery of what lies within a forbidden room in an abandoned construction site, mysteriously sealed shut with red packing tape.

J-horror at it's finest
One of the best modern J-horror films of all time, a true sense of isolation and dread. This film depicts the advancement of tech and the unique problems online connection can bring to real life.

From my point of view the best J horor of all time. Hayashi’s photography is pure gold.

Kiyoshi Kurosawa at his best
It is terrifying how Kurosawa predicted the impact the internet would have on isolating people. It is a very insightful film as well as a very disturbing horror movie. Arrow's release is its definitive edition.
