Arrow Films
From director Massimo Dallamano, cinematographer on both A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More, comes giallo classic What Have You Done to Solange?, the debut feature of actress Camille Keaton (I Spit on Your Grave).
A sexually sadistic killer is preying on the girls of St. Mary's school. Student Elizabeth witnessed one of the murders, but her hazy recollections of a knife-wielding figure in black do nothing to further the police's investigations. Why is the killer choosing these young women? And what does it have to do with a girl named Solange?
Also starring Cristina Galbo (Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue) and Fabio Testi (I Spit On Your Grave), What Have You Done with Solange? features all the hallmarks of classic gialli – the amateur detective, the black-gloved killerl – as well as a lush score from Ennio Morricone.

Excellent Giallo
You'll find this movie in most Giallo fans lists, for good reason. The Morricone score ranks among his best for the genre, Fabio Testi gives a strong performance and the mystery is well handled. A worthy addition to the collection !

What have you done to Solange?
What Have You Done to Solange? is kind of inescapably florid, but it features some nice stylistic flourishes courtesy of Massimo Dallamano, and the film builds to a perhaps unexpectedly shattering denouement. Arrow has provided a release with solid technical merits and some appealing supplements. A+++

Massimo Dallamano's deliciously deviant Giallo is one sweetly sadistic slasher that always hits the
The colourfully sordid goings on, and 'gettings-in' at all-girl schools have been a lurid mainstay of exploitation cinema for quite some time, and the singularly voyeuristic lens of ace cameraman Aristide Massaccesi maximises the gorier, more prurient aspects of poor Solange's especially gruesome misfortune! Heroically handsome, wickedly wiry P.E teacher Enrico (Fabio Testi) being emotionally estranged from his saucy wife, fellow teacher Herta (Karin Baal) seeks sensual succour in the delectably nubile bosom of exquisite Euro-starlet Cristina Galbo, and one of their furtive trysts is brusquely interrupted by Elizabeth (Cristina Galbo) partially witnessing the fantastically crude gynaecological slaying of a fellow student, thereby bloodily introducing one of the more popular Italian thrillers of the 1970s, and even with its iconic Ennio Morricone score, and ubiquitous Giallo trope of a black-gloved bath dunking, the forbiddingly grey British setting, and the unique presence of German icon Joachim Fuchsberger as the intrepid inspector Barth lends 'What Have You Done to Solange? far more of a Krimi vibe, with its illicit intrigue, plentiful nudity, and blood-stirringly sexy Morricone theme, maestro Massimo Dallamano's deliciously deviant Giallo is one sweetly sadistic slasher that always hits the sweet spot!
