[At night around the open fire, Max, the head camp counselor, tells a story. Shots in quick succession of shadows of the man.] Max: Many strange things happen around here.
[Indoors, the man, wearing hardware boots and carrying an axe, walks through a corridor and enters a bedroom where a woman is asleep.] Narrator: There is a tale.
[Max continues telling the story, as the youth camp listens attentively.] Max: It was a night like tonight many years ago.
[Shots in quick succession of candles being lit, Richie, a camper, looking intrigued then scared, an axe dripping blood, Ellie, another camper, looking terrified.] Narrator: There is a legend.
[The candles are put out. Back in the camp by the fire.] Max: If you say his name above a whisper he'll get you.
[An axe cuts through a wooden door. On the other side of it is Ellie, looking terrified. Then another camper, Stacy, runs towards a yellow car.]
[In the woods at night, the man attacks another camper, Dave, with the axe.] Narrator: There is a warning.
[At night by the open fire, bathed by a full moon, Max continues his story in the camp.] Max: And so tonight when the moon is full he's out there stalking in the woods.
[The man spies on Betsy and T.P. kissing in the hot tub.]
[Shots in quick succession of the man walking through the woods, Ellie looking scared then screaming, and of the axe being swung.] Narrator: There is a madman.
[At night in the woods, T.P. looks startled as he hears screaming in the distance.]
[Back by the open fire.] Max: His name is Marz.
[The man, Madman Marz, puts a noose around T.P.'s neck, and then ties the other end of the rope to a tree branch.] Max: Madman Marz.
[In the woods, T.P. is pulled up by the hanging rope. In the camp by the fire, Richie shouts for Madman Marz.] Richie: Marz!
[Madman Marz walks through a corridor with the axe, then through the woods.] Richie: Madman Marz! Here we are! Come and get us, Madman!
[Shots in quick succession of a window being broken by a rock, a lit candle being thrown onto a pile of hay and setting fire to it.]
[Outline of Madman Marz holding the axe in the woods.] Max: Don't you realize you're fooling with things beyond your control?
[In a dark room, Betsy shoots a riffle.]
[A scared Stacy opens the yellow car's bonnet and tries to make the engine start, as Madman Marz looks on. He stomps the bonnet shut on Stacy, as we see her feet dangling in the air.]
[Shots in quick succession of Dave running in the woods, Bill in the driver's seat being attacked by Madman Marz through the open window, and Ellie screaming by Bill’s side.]
[Bill is dragged out of the car by Madman Marz.] Narrator: Madman...
[A caption on a black screen reads, "MADMAN... THERE IS NO ESCAPE", followed by the film credits.] Narrator: There is no escape.

Gather around the campfire, and hearthe tale of Madman Marz an ill-tempered farmer who, one dark night, chopped up his wife and two children into pieces. When the locals learned of his heinous crimes, they exacted revenge sinking an axe into his head and hanging him from a nearby tree. But the next day, Marz s body was gone...
Thus the camp counsellor finishes his tale, closing with the warning never to say Marz s name above a whisper, lest the hideously-deformed farmer comes looking for them. Naturally, the first thing that one of the young campers does is calls out Marz s name precipitating a terrifying night of murder, mayhem and sexy Jacuzzi vignettes!
Inspired by the same Cropsey urban legend which informed 1981 s The Burning and starring Dawn of the Dead s Gaylen Ross (appearing under the pseudonym Alexis Dubin ), Madman stands as one of the finest offerings from the golden age of hack n slash.

Mad for Madman
I seen this when it first came out ,and this looks and sounds better. Its nice to have companies bring you these hard to find titles. One small complaint was it said it came with a booklet but did not . But the film it self is excellent .
