"Wholly uplifting" The Wee Review
"Two incredibly tender performances" Movie Review World
A committed performance from the redoubtable stage and screen veteran Sheila Hancock drives the final third of this wilderness drama into sublime places. She plays the eponymous octogenarian, newly widowed and desperate to claw back some meaning from a life spent in dutiful servitude to an abusive, all-controlling husband. The answer, it seems, will be found in a perilous solo climb of the imposing and indecently photogenic Suilven mountain in the Scottish Highlands.
