When former child actor and Hollywood TV sidekick Bruce Lee returned to his native Hong Kong in 1971 to star in two films for fledgling company Golden Harvest, movie history was made thanks to one of the most iconic partnerships between star and studio that cinema has ever seen. In only a handful of films, Lee high-kicked his way into audiences’ imaginations forever, thanks to his blistering screen presence and his masterful ‘Jeet Kune Do’ fighting technique.
The first two starring vehicles for Lee, The Big Boss and Fist of Fury (both directed by Lo Wei), smashed all box office records in Hong Kong and made him the most famous face on the continent. Lee asserted his artistic independence by directing, writing and starring in The Way of the Dragon, arguably his most thrilling and personal film. Tragically, on the cusp of achieving the international stardom he had long strived for, Bruce Lee died suddenly in 1973, aged only 32. Not to be outdone by the tidal wave of ‘Bruceploitation’ films that followed, Golden Harvest completed two posthumous films using unreleased footage, 1978’s Game of Death and its 1981 sequel, as well as two official documentaries, the first of which hit cinemas only three months after Lee’s death. Today, five decades since his passing, Bruce Lee continues to be the most beloved and influential martial artist in the world.
This definitive collection, featuring fresh and exclusive 4K restorations by Arrow Video from the best available film materials, hours of brand new bonus features and previously unreleased footage - including the extended Mandarin Cut of The Big Boss, now ten minutes longer than any version ever released on video worldwide, and the never-before-seen ‘log fight’ from the original Game of Death shoot - is the ultimate tribute to Bruce Lee’s enduring legacy and fruitful collaboration with Golden Harvest.

Bruce Lee
What can I say Arrow, You guys have done it again. What an Amazing job you have done with these movies, transfers and Audio. These movies have never looked better and probably never ever will. I had to import these movies to the Unites States, but I will say, it definitely was well worth the wait. I hope there will be a future U.S. version so I can get that one also. Thank you Arrow once again for these treats.

The Boss of Boxsets
Wow. Just wow. The restoration of Bruce’s Golden Harvest movies is fantastic. Big Boss and Fist of Fury look great. Way of the Dragon’s picture quality is not as good but that is because of how it was originally filmed: this is still the best version out there. Enter the Dragon is HD rather than 4k due to Warners releasing their own 4k disc. However, big thanks to Arrow for including it: no Bruce boxset would be complete without it. So this is a must buy for the 4k, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg… THE BIG BOSS MANDARIN CUT! GAME OF DEATH LOG FIGHT! COMPLETE GAME OF DEATH DAILIES WITH NARRATION! If you have any interest in Bruce Lee, this is the movie set to get. Watching the Big Boss Mandarin cut took me back 40 years to when I first watched the movie as a kid… except I finally got to see the missing scenes that had reached mythical status. Thanks Arrow, this boxset is sensational (Ps: Enter the Dragon 4k next, if Warners give you the chance!)

This comprehensive WOW factor collection not only includes stunning remastered versions of his classic films but also presents never-before-seen footage that adds a new dimension to his iconic career. One of the standout features of this box set is the inclusion of unseen 10 minutes of footage from The Big Boss - The Mandarin Cut (no spoilers) of course. The unseen footage offers a chance to finally view the film in more of a complete version which flows better in my opinion. Also not forgetting, a fascinating glimpse into Lee's earlier works, showcasing his raw talent and the foundations of his legendary fighting style. It allows us a deeper understanding of his journey and the evolution of his craft. Additionally, the box set also treats us fans to the long-awaited unseen Log Fight from the ‘Final’ Game of Death. This legendary scene has been a topic of discussion among enthusiasts for decades and thought to be lost, and finally witnessing it in the highest quality possible is a dream come true. The meticulously restored visuals and enhanced audio truly bring the intensity of the fight to life, making it an unforgettable experience for viewers. The 4K Ultra HD format elevates the viewing experience to a whole new level. The high resolution and enhanced colors make every frame a visual feast for the eyes. The image quality is so pristine that it truly feels like stepping into the world of Bruce Lee himself. Furthermore, Arrow Video has gone the extra mile in curating this box set. The packaging is both elegant and sturdy, ensuring the preservation of these timeless films for years to come. The accompanying 200 page hardbound booklet provides insightful trivia and behind-the-scenes stories, enriching the overall appreciation of Lee's work. In conclusion, the Bruce Lee at Golden Harvest 4K Ultra HD Box Set (Yellow Box Set artwork by Tom Ralston & the Red Box Set artwork by Tony Stella) is an absolute must-have for any fan or collector (had to buy both)👌🏼👍🏼. It not only offers a visually stunning experience but also presents a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the legacy of an icon the Late Great Bruce Lee will forever be. This box set is a remarkable tribute to Bruce Lee's influential career. Many thanks & Bravo to Arrow Video, James Flower (who was very instrumental in bringing this whole boxset together), (Brandon Bentley & everyone involved) for gifting us all for this awesome blockbuster 🤩 boxset 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Arrow does fans proud.
What an absolutely beautiful release. Everything about this boxset screams quality. From the outer box design to the individual film cardboard slipcases. From the gorgeous 200 page book to the art cards and photos. From the double sided poster to the amazing newly commissioned artwork by Tom Ralston. There is an exhausting wealth of bonus features spread across the 10 discs. But most importantly, the 4k transfers on the films look incredible. I cannot imagine them looking any better. This really is a collector's dream and the definitive release on Bruce Lee. I used to like the Criterion version but it just looks cheap and amateurish in comparison. This is definitely contender for boxset of the year. Thank you Arrow for giving us Bruce fans a set worthy of the legend.
